Today’s Spotlight is Enchanted Kingdom’s Chief Operating Officer, Cynthia Mamon – a dynamic and a multi-awarded inspirational leader and dedicated worker. She received numerous awards such as being one of the 100 Most Influential Filipino Women in the world, one of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awardees and one of the most powerful women in Information Technology. This International Women’s Month, Cynthia discusses the world of customer experience and how women are making their mark in the business world.
“Women nowadays are making valuable contributions to the success of any business or local government or public service, education, and even science and technology and ICT. So, in any field, women always have the natural instinct of being compassionate, nurturing, helping them succeed in any endeavor they face,” she explained.
Her colorful career spans two decades of government service at the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) and almost two decades as Managing Director of Sun Microsystems Philippines. Cynthia is also a member of Women’s Business Council Philippines or WomenBizPH.
Cynthia believes that the essence of women empowerment is for women to have the freedom to choose what they want to achieve in terms of their personal and career aspects of their lives. “Especially now, it’s International Women’s Month, I think more than ever we have to stand united as women should help other women,” she stressed.
Together with her husband Mario Mamon, the Chairman and President of Enchanted Kingdom, their mission is to make sure that every guest who steps into EK will leave the place with a magical experience. To achieve this, innovation and creativity are keys to their success as EK caters to a multi-generational and intersectional market – from student field trips to corporate team buildings.
Cynthia emphasized that with innovation as one of its core values, she constantly challenges the EK team to think of what their customers would like to eat, purchase, and what kind of rides, experiences, shows and attractions they would like to enjoy. “We always have to create new, unique, magical, memorable experiences that will last a lifetime.” she stated.
Aside from being a COO and the outgoing Secretary of WomenBizPH, Cynthia also has gifts and talents in entertainment where she actively dances ballroom as a hobby.
“I believe in Ephesians 4: 11-16, that we have natural gifts given by God. And we believe that all our talents must be maximized and used to the full potential to glorify Him, our Creator.” She labels herself as EK’s CEO or Chief Entertainment Officer as she has loved to entertain people since she was young.
